  The city of LA claimed the Towers were a hazard and dilapidated. After they tried to pull the towers down and failed -- very publicly-- the city engineer said the city would need to dynamite the, towers thereby invalidating the city's argument for demolition.

  The reason the mystery spot bumper stickers became known is because you weren&apos;t given a choice about getting one. In the 70s while you were visiting inside outside the staff would attach a bumper sticker, in this case a piece of poster board with holes punched in the corners. They would thread eyes through the holes and then around the bumper of your car. Remember in the 70s car bumpers stuck it from the car, they were not members with car body. So everybody dive away with a biker sticker. The Sea Lion came in Oregon did the same thing. All the had stains near these locations were equipped with wire cutter so people who did not want the impromptu advertisement on their car. Especially since they had not given permission to do such.

  I have been to six out of the fifteen: Salvation Mountain, Wave Organ, Mystery Spot, Trona Pinnacles, Felicity, and Bodie.<br>Here are a couple of places you should have added to your list; Valley of the Names and the Republic of Slowjamastan And rename it: 17 weird places you didn&apos;t know

  The Mystery Spot...something very similar is in Calico, on the way to Vegas:) &nbsp;Personally I&apos;ve been to Trona Pinnacles and Bodie:) Some of the other places I&apos;m gonna put on my go-to-see list :)

  I love the Joshua Tree Integraton! So much magic when you sing in the middle of it. I&apos;ve been to the Salton Sea but just the normal park area. I haven&apos;t been to Slab City / salvation mountain either. I haven&apos;t made it to the towers yet

  I went to see the Forrestaire Underground Gardens in the 1980&apos;s. &nbsp;My daughter was a little girl back then. I went there with my late mother and my daughter.
