The terrific actor who plays the lead hijacker in this episode also plays the lead hijacker in the 9/11 episode where the plane that hit the first tower. He is so believable,, a really good actor.

I still find it amazing how people talk about how they love god yet do the most messed up things

It was a beautiful courageous gesture for the Algerian passengers, many of them devout Muslims, to stay aboard, turning down the terrorists offer to leave because they feared the French passengers would be executed if they exited the aircraft, demonstrating that the vast majority of humanity are good, regardless of faith. Incredible, ballsy work by the French special forces. Respect from Ireland. May the victims Rest in Peace.

some algerian passengers refused to leave for the crew/other's sake. the bravery they exhibited is unable to be put in words.

I praise the Algerian passengers for choosing to stay and the gign who against all odds rescued everyone. I feel sorry for the 3 men who lost their lives but in the end the remaining passengers and crew were saved.

I actually find this video more disturbing than the normal air disaster videos.

I did not forget. I have seen riots, terrorist bombings, hijackings, 9/11, embassy attacks, and hostage situations. Everyone who's trying to feel more important than the next guy. I'm so sick of violence and the needless loss of life. We never learn. For God's sake stay in your lane.

Talk about a misleading title! Those terrorists didn’t "attempt" to hijack the plane. They DID hijack it. I doubt the people trapped on it for so long would call that an attempt.
