  Gnosticism means to seek God look inward. This takes the preacher out of the equation as the middle man. No wonder the church hates Gnosticism. It&apos;s bad for their business model.

  As a Buddhist, I find Christian gnosticism quite similar with our beliefs to some degre. This is really interesting.

  The main idea I get from Gnosticism is the idea of &quot;the Divine spark&quot; that exists within all people but is hidden and suppressed. The spark seeks unity with the All, higher consciousness, and it exists within and without. It is not a product of faith, but of spiritual practice.

  As a lifelong Christian, I have “converted” into Gnosticism. Every missing links and unanswered questions I have about Christianity are all answered in Gnosticism. And in a world full of sin and corruption, it only makes sense that the false narrative won out against the true narrative. Now we have churches literally getting money and being a de facto multinational company, like seriously? <br><br>No wonder they oppressed the Gnostics because the Gnostics refused to be corrupted by worldly desires and materialism. And just like the life of Jesus, the oppressed and silenced are often in the right! Only the Gnostics truly follow the teachings of Jesus, they don’t go around wearing a wizard adornment with a gold stick and live in a luxurious palace, they write and practice in silence and in private groups.

  Gnosticism makes more sense than contemporary Christianity, Judaism, and Islam. Gnostics admit this realm is flawed, there is no sin, materialism is temporary, but our spark is eternal. They encourge followers to seek wisdom. We can now see why the church did not like these views, it makes for profit centralized religion difficult.
