  There's something about the move ... when Sully sweeps his aircraft out over the Hudson river, away from the city.  It's like a statement: We might die, but at least ONLY we will die.  What most of us don't know (I didn't until after the incident and I looked it up) is that this is the ONLY incident of an airliner landing in water with zero casualties.  Most of them are catastrophic.   God was with them on this day.  Well done, Captain.

  What a gut check and you only get this skill from years of flying and training.  Just amazing that everyone lived and it was Sully who got them home.

  I worked for Airways around this time. Sully made us all proud. And immortalized that little airline.

  This landing was beautifully done. Note the tail striking first. There was a chance it could snap off in the water. Note the wings and how they were perfectly level. If one wing hit first, the plane would have likely spun and tore itself apart. <br><br>Later, during simulation runs, it was discovered there was no chance of making it to the airport. <br><br>By going for the river, Captain Sully gave everyone the best chance of survival.

  Captain Sully had no choice to land on Hudson River close to New York City. He saved all passengers and crew. Remarkable story.

  One of my friends used to work in NYC. She said she saw the last 30 seconds transpire as the plane buzzed her office. Unreal.

  To this day I haven&apos;t see the actual movie, but I really hope that the music doesn&apos;t just drown out everything else like it does here. &nbsp;Please tell me this is added to this clip, because the soundtrack absolutely stomps all over anything else you want to hear.
