  25 year Master Technician here, I'm currently the team leader at a Mercedes Benz dealer in Miami for CV vehicles... My advice would be to get it reflashed at the dealer before you do anything else. If it has a delete there are a lot of codes disabled  so you will never see them. Also the DPF will never Regen as it's disabled in the software and after around 135 miles the DPF will be at almost at 100% fill level. But you will never know if the delete software is still in the CDI. When we get deleted vehicles in, we inform the customer we cannot diagnose the vehicle unless we reflash it for these exact reasons.  If it's just killing boost under full throttle then the intercooler could be clogged,  check the boost pressure vs the demanded values, and the exhaust backpresure if it's over 5000hPa under full throttle then the intercooler or DPF or oxidation catalyst is clogged.  There is also the EGR low pressure differential pressure sensor, that could kill power and 2023 was the worst year for those sensors. Key on engine off should be 0 to -2 hPa, and almost 0 at idle, if it reads too high it will kill power, the low pressure EGR cooler cannot handle any soot at all, but again should be disabled with the delete ... You should be able to just reflash it even with Autel you can reflash you just need to buy a day subscription for Mercedes. And use the passthrough. Unless the CDI looks like it was opened and modified inside. They usually are not but I have seen a couple that were.  Just my 2 cents ... There are a lot more things you can check but those are the first things I would do ...

It’s true what Dave said, the ladies should have taken the Sprinter van straight back to the bloke that stuffed around with the software, he buggered it up, it’s his responsibility to fix it. You gotta feel sorry for the poor ladies, what a nightmare.
