  Something about all of Tchaikovsky’s work has an underlying abyss of sadness: surely, the crescendoes and upward flourishes impart a sense of flying, but just below you is the dark.

  I grew up listening to Tchaikovsky, Mahler, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, Bizet, Shostakovich, Gershwin.... many more because my father loved it all. I took it for granted that his sound system had a huge part why it sounded so good. He is no longer here, about a year now.... I saved every CD of his. Took his sound system. Sat next to it sad because I've never hooked anything up like this before. I used all his cords, he labels everything. I was looking for the left speaker cord and almost gave up... I had a sense and an idea , " what if the cord you're looking for isnt black like right speaker?" I started trying all the cords not just black... he somehow helped me hook up his sound system and everyday I play his fav music. So emotional,  so sad I never loved this music while he was still alive. I sit and cry my eyes out but I spend time with him this way. Tchaikovsky was his fav... he has the most CDs from this composer.

  Tchaikovsky wrote this song as his Sister, Alexadra Tchaikovskaya's finale farwell dance to the world after he found out she died. This is the song of losing some one y I u love with all of you heart. I have never cried listening to this, but it just makes me emotional. People say Moscow nights is the Russian song that will make you cry, but no they're all wrong. It is Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's Pas de deux thst will make you cry.

  My dad and I used to dance to this. He would pick me up and spin me around while I giggled. I felt like I was flying. Man, I miss being a kid.

  &quot;The moment Tchaikovsky reached Heaven.&quot; I&apos;m sure you&apos;ve heard this phrase be thrown about when it comes to Pas de Deux. For those wondering it&apos;s context, it doesn&apos;t just refer to this being hailed as one of Tchaikovsky&apos;s masterpiece (hence peaking far into the clouds and into heaven), but also because this song was written by him as his final farewell to his deceased sister.<br>Ergo, it is said this peace is so beautiful as his magnum opus and sheer emotional weight and tact, everyone agrees this song was able to reach her, high on above the Heavens. Beautiful.

  Let us take a moment and also praise the painting by Charles William Wyllie. It is fascinating, the light, the colors, the idilic atmosphere, and related to that the story, something imagination is enticed to produce based on the visual.
