  What do you guys think. Is the BMW K1 ugly or misunderstood?

  I&apos;m from Poland. The first time I saw it, I was 10 years old. It was featured on the last page of a technical magazine in collapsing, very poor communist Poland (1988/89, I believe). To us, it was like a space shuttle on wheels—beautiful, advanced, like the Millennium Falcon for the road!<br><br>Almost 30 years later, I finally bought one and rebuilt it. I&apos;ve ridden many motorcycles and own more than ten, but this one is among my most precious treasures.<br><br>By today&apos;s standards, it doesn&apos;t have the best engine or the best handling, but even after 35 years it still looks (retro-)futuristic. And it&apos;s a genuinely fun bike to ride.

  I&apos;m definitely interested in that history of BMW Motorrad video.<br>I also wouldn&apos;t call the K1 &quot;ugly.&quot; It is definitely provocative and distinctive.

  I love this thing, I have loved it since I first saw it. I really don&apos;t get why people think it looks bad.

  I think it’s one of the most beautiful bikes from bmw. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but definitely memorable. Red-gold please

  there is a guy in my town that bought a K1 brand new. he still daily rides the snot of that bike!

  The whole K-series is just amazing. The only motorbike you can travel on the Autobahn and do long distances fast and without too much effort.

  I&apos;m living in Leipzig, Germany and about a week ago I saw a red/yellow one in morning traffic. &nbsp;First one, ever!<br>It is so big and bulky. &nbsp;I like it because it is unique.
