I don't know, I think the scenes with the husband added an extra feeling of mystery and hopelessness. Made me wonder "will they be stuck there forever?" the entire movie.

This is a rare example of a film where Sean Bean doesn't die... until the sequel.

Silent hill was truly unique for its time and I’m sad to see that the series has lost its heart, PT had potential and was getting back to it’s psychological roots but cancellations ruin everything

If only more cross media adaptations were handled with this kind of care

Hands down one of the best video game to movie adaptations ever, it’s funny that it literally just came on like 3 hours ago here.

I remember watching this when i was about 12 years old on television late at night when my dad had gone to bed.
Probably the single scariest night of my life and its what got me into horror movies to begin with, although as i explored the genre ive come to realize that silent hill is one of only a few true masterpiece horror movies. The genre i think has a bad habit of just trying too hard to scare people with jump scares and generic fear tactics.
This film does the genre justice by trying to dig deep into the elements of true fear, carving a world of discomfort and exploring the darker side of our psyche.
