  Watching Adam perform "the Leap" in Billy Elliott,  still brings tears to my eyes every time I watch it. Such an emotional and pivotal role in the film. Just BRILLIANT ❤

  Watched this in Amsterdam together with my grandson who is also a dancer. We could not move from our seats being in the emotion.

  The absolute merging of art and athleticism grabs me. I am thrilled to see strength training now included, even for the girls. I&apos;m old now, but when I was young I was a dancer. We never had strength training, we were praised for our anorexia, and by age 20 were physically broken down by so many injuries. But I still have the muscle memory of how the leaps feel, how the lifts feel, how the pirouettes feel. And in my mind, it&apos;s magnificent.

  Huge Tchaikovsky fan, love the music of Swan Lake but was always surprised that seeing it done as a ballet invariably left me cold. The Bourne version changed everything. I can hardly think of it now without being deeply moved. Dowzell looks like he does a wonderful job. But Cooper remains iconic in a hauntingly intense way that IMO can never be matched.

  I studied Matthew Bourne’s version of Swan Lake for my A Level Performing Arts and that was 22 years ago, I still get goosebumps thinking about it and still love to watch it. The way his male swans showed the power and aggression of the Swan whilst still keeping the beauty and elegance… the movements and shaping of every tiny detail blew my mind then and still does today. Hands down the most incredible performance I have ever seen!

  When I first saw Matthew Bourne&apos;s Swan Lake , a child nearby was incredibly excited when the &apos;Billy Elliot&apos; swans appeared.

  I am sitting in a shopping mall in a cafe trying to keep the tears back. I can scarcely imagine what it must have been like in the theatre
