I was a Giants fan through the 1970s and one day this monster shows up and the Giants were good! We definitely took for granted how unfair it was to the rest of the league.

If he could hit the curve, he’d have been a great big league catcher.

Wow, it was so fun watching LT back in the day. Being a cowboys fan he was truly a player i loved to watch but hated the way he would destroy the boys every time. He was just a beast that took control. Makes you wonder what he would have been like if he wasn't an alcoholic and drug addict.

what an amazing back to back feature. Both players are legends. I only got to see LT play in his prime, not Unitas. But that guy changed football, dare I say if not for Johnny U.. This game wouldn't be the same.

When you hear LT say that he was a man playing with boys, instantly you should recall Butkus talking about how it was easy for him on the field.
He was the first pass rushing LB and we’ve only seen flashes of anyone like him since.
Steeler fans like to say that he was just a pass rusher but they clearly haven’t watched his game film. Not to say he was Jack Ham but he played the run as well as anyone and could play in pass coverage at a high level. He also played special teams early on.

Isn’t it amazing he was at Chapel Hill and then comes along Michael Jordan
