One of the most underrated Giants ever! Such a strong run defender! He completely DOMINATED the 1986 playoffs!<br>Best player on the field in all 3 games!<br>One of my all time favorite players!

1980's all decade team. Hall of fame for sure. He played with LT so people forget how great he was.

I remember John Madden saying (not verbatim) “The offensive has a BIG problem, you can’t run towards Lawrence Taylor’s side but the only alternative is to run towards Carl Banks side”<br>Well said John. <br><br>Carl, thanks for the memories! Has it really been that long ago....

The one thing you need to remember about Carl . In Super Bowl 21 third quarter 13 in assisted tackles 7 for negative yardage Carl Banks you are great thanks

Carl Banks absolutely put on a tackling clinc in the 1986 post season. Carl was an excellent tackler and very good at covering the Tight End. He was a great bookend to LT.

You can't name a more underrated linebacker, nor a better outside linebacker corps than LT, and CB.

Best Pure Linebacker who ever played for the Giants was Carl Banks. LT was more than a linebacker. Banks knew how to hold the edge better than any linebacker I ever saw.
