  Evil Like Me from Descendants is a pretty good example of a campy evil song that doesn&apos;t lose its wickedness and relishes being a musical song.

  It&apos;s hilarious that Disney owns everything that their employees make, when one of their designers stole a 3D-model from someone else they fired the designer but are still selling the model and is not giving the real artist - who was never employed or paid by Disney - any credit.

  You can tell while watching the movie that it has been re written a lot because a lot of things make no sense in the end <br>Why have a whole gem plot line with Evil Queen wanting them, and then never connecting it to the dwarfs mining a loooooot of gems for no particular reason ?

  My tin-foil hat theory was that each dwarf was supposed to get an intro verse because they weren&apos;t originally supposed to be the dwarves we know. If you look at the prince&apos;s troupe, there&apos;s 7 of them. I think they were originally the &quot;dwarves&quot; so we&apos;d need a verse to know who each is. Now, they have the CGI dwarves, and only kept the intro verses for a few, but the song feels so disjointed a half-arsed because of that...

  I can never help but feel like Disney casts people of colour in these remakes so they can use them as a shield against legitimate criticism. And there are a <b>lot</b> of legitimate criticisms to be made about these films that have nothing to do with race-swapping. But people making fair points about issues get lumped in with people who <b>are</b> just being racist. It&apos;s super underhanded and scummy, not to mention unfair to the actors.

  Why does this exist is such a good summary of how I feel. The money and time that went into this could have been something new-- the good moments of this movie don&apos;t sufficiently answer that question.

  I think there was at least one moment in Encanto where it was shown how the town exploits their abilities. The older sister (the strong one) is constantly given tasks in the background by the townspeople like &quot;move the house&quot; and &quot;the donkeys ran away, pick them up.&quot;

  I think people seem to forget how important sincerity is to art. There&apos;s just barely a drop of sincerity in these live action remakes, so they feel so cold and lifeless.

  “Disney probably thought having a flawed character would be a bad influence on little girls” is SUCH a horrible trend in these remakes. Modern media thinks that depicting women/girls as anything other than totally perfect and morally correct at all times is bad. So what’s the message to kids? Just be born perfect? Never have flaws or fears to overcome? It’s so gross and ironically, MORE sexist.
