  Pretty crazy it’s 2026 and I lived just to the left in the houses at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7OCPu8iijw&amp;t=7745">2:09:05</a> back in 1999-2003 miss watching these trains and hearing them all throughout the night… UP tracks were just west &nbsp;as well good ol days this vid brought back memories

  Heh, this reminds me that BNSF has to take the long way around(to the south) to get to San Bernardino when the UP has pretty much a strait shot east on the Alhambra Subdivision from the Weeds yard just to the north of the Hobart yard.

  Holy crap the trackside has changed hugely since this was shot and I&apos;m guessing somewhere around 1986. &nbsp;I tried searching to find when the University Parkway bridge was built as it was being built when this video was shot, but Google Search is garbage these days!

  I am always impressed by the engineering achievements of the past and I rejoice when I see examples of upgrades and modernization of the railway infrastructures. This video is very instructive in this regard. However, I feel that it would be highly beneficial to the viewer, particularly if not familiar with the area, if there were some indications of the grade and actual train speed, as well as the permissible speed, along the route. 2026/06/10.
