This explains exactly how I feel. I'm here still healing and I see her with someone new. The worst part is that I never stopped loving her, I'm just learning to live with this feeling

I've had the urge to contact my ex, but it's good to know I can address this within myself without reaching out. I am getting closer to healing.

the sting isn't that they moved on, it's that some part of you was still measuring your healing by their loneliness. i noticed i was doing that. checking if they were doing okay without me, like their happiness or misery was proof of something about us. once i caught myself doing it, i just stopped checking. deleted the mental tally i didn't even know i was keeping. and my days actually got quieter after that, less about them, more about what i was doing with my own time. 💔

Thank you so much for making these videos Maika, they help so much! ❤️ it's so difficult sometimes, I feel like a crazy person with a broken brain but your wisdom helps to untangle the madness. You teach me that my brains natural actions as a bi product of a breakup are quite normal, this helps me work through them and not feel so mental! There's a reason for the feelings and there's hope in time that they'll lessen and I'll be able to be more content 🌝

This is exactly my situation right now—it’s incredibly painful due to the betrayal. I was cheated on for a few months before being dumped because he found someone new; he claimed he no longer loved me because he was pouring all his affection into the new person. I tried to move on, but whenever I stopped reaching out, he would find ways to reconnect with me.
It is truly time for me to put an end to this situation that has caused me such severe pain—I am physically drained, mentally exhausted, and emotionally crushed; I have been experiencing profound distress since January. It's hard to be committed with someone who exhibits characteristics of a Cluster B disorders.

As much as I hate hearing the truth, it calms me down every time.

What you described is exactly how am feeling today after 6 months apart.
I will make a bigger effort to get myself back on track in the knowledge that it's not just me.
Thank you so much for telling me something I didn't know I needed to hear.

What helped me a lot decades ago after I heard my ex had moved on was learning something entirely new, something which was way outside my comfort zone and had nothing to do with my usual interests. I took, for instance, motorcycle lessons even though I didn't care about motors and knew I'd never buy or use one. But it turned out to be fun. Somehow it taught my brains that there were things (read: persons) beyond my horizon which/who are fun, interesting, satisfying or provide any other positive experience. So it shifted my attention to something/someone new instead on what/who I was used to.
By the way, I never got my license because I unexpectedly met my wife and I started spending time with her instead on motorcycle lessons...

Mine moved on with my very best friend very shortly after. They both lied to my face about it repeatedly and then eventually ghosted and blocked me. I had to find out through other sources, which inflicted much more harm. I have been deeply traumatized ever since.
