  Genetics are so interesting. I always look at 100% hets. 50% hets are too risky for me. I’m so type A LOL ~Angela

  Hey Chris I have a banana with is het g stripe that I picked up from an expo...parents banana gstripe x pastel het g stripe and his eyes are very dark blue nothing like a shed ... is this normal?

  I have a male lined up that’s Leopard Pastel and 100% Het Clown. If I breed that male with a female clown will I get Leopard Pastel Clown babies???

  I have a zoology degree so I can undrstand what you mean. The way I explain that recessive has to do with what genetics are expressed. So one copy of genes comes from the mum and the other comes from the dad. To have a visual (look like the animal) they need to have 2 copies of that specific morph gene to come from both parents. So the recessive genes can either come from a visual parent (shows the animal as that morph and has 2 copies of that morph gene) or a het. A het means heterozygous, which means there is one copy of the gene from one parent. The hets don&apos;t show the morph. <br>Also sort of writing this way might help to understand for Incomplete-Dominant (what they call Co-Dominant) and Recessive morphs :<br>Mum: Banana (Incomplete Dom) &nbsp; Dad: Fire (Incomplete Dom)<br>Babies: 1/4 eggs normal, 1/4 eggs Banana, 1/4 eggs Fire and the last one will be 1/4 eggs Banana fire<br>For Recessive I will do a visual and het animals<br>Mum: Banana Piebald (recessive visual) &nbsp; Dad: Fire het Piebald (one copy of gene but will show fire and some slight change as well)<br>Now eggs are 1 of 8:<br>1/8 eggs normal het Piebald, 1/8 eggs normal piebald or just a piebald, 1/8 Banana het Piebald, 1/8 eggs Banana Piebald, &nbsp;1/8 eggs Fire het Piebald, &nbsp;1/8 eggs Fire Piebald, &nbsp;1/8 eggs Banana Fire het Piebald and 1/8 Banana Fire Piebald. <br>This is a bit of an odds game and depends all on how many eggs. Also just cause you have 8 eggs doesn&apos;t mean there will be every single combo I just said. In a clutch of eggs you can get 1 Normal het Pied, 3 Banana Fires het pied, 1 banana pied, 1 banana fire pied and 1 fire het pied. Also if you do the same pairing the following year, you will not get the same number of eggs or the same combinations. It can help to use genetic wizard when the creators tell you what the pairing was

  Always been confusing for me. I have a year old pied female who&apos;s pounding rats trying to gain the last 6 or 700 grams before breeding. I have a brother sister pair of enchi pastel 100% het pied hatchlings coming next week 🔥
