So basically if the Borg ever assimilates a founder they would have access to morphogenic tissue, imagine a Borg version of the T1000

The Jem Hadar would be ramming cubes everyday of the week

This just sounds like a forever war with both sides just remaking their forces after each battle

The dominion would still have a massive uphill battle when the borg assimilates their tech.

Imagine if the Borg pissed off that Dowd who chose a quiet, peaceful life with a human woman.   😮

What if the borg didnt bother because every Dominion client species has been reduced to the point where they are not a useful resource to be collected? Inadvertently creating a barrier making the borg think there was nothing useful out there yet.

there's 2 major moves we need to consider too from both sides. 1. the jem hadar would rather ram their ships into a cube than be assimilated. No matter how much they adapt their cubes, it can't withstand that many cruiser sized projectiles hitting it. 2. The borg may decide to go full execution mode and just exterminate the dominion, assuming they decide it's not worth assimilating them

the borg getting access to the technology that allows the founders to produce designer clones might be interesting...but I bet they already had similiar technology and didn't see value in using it.

If for whatever reason the Borg decide that the Dominion is a problem or threat that needs to be removed, then the Dominion is screwed, full stop. The Dominion just straight up cannot win a war of attrition if the collective decides to focus them down till destruction.

My first thought was Species 8472.

Nobody stops the Borg if they are sufficiently motivated.  They could’ve taken the federation at will by sending 2 cubes instead of one at a time. If they wanted to end the dominion they could send hundreds of cubes and just take planet after planet until there was nothing left.
