Indigenous peoples worldwide never had a permanent settlement on or near water unless it was an island. Modern-day humans build where nature rules in the end. The Evolution of humanity is learning to live, design, and engineer with nature. Coast shorelines and barrier islands are designed and engineered by nature which should forever be destinations to visit with a boat and never be built upon.

Those homes should never have been built there, but these people feel so entitled that they are willing to take a chance. They knew they were building on sand. So they wanted to put up a wall just for their homes. They were warned about this years ago. Everyone needs to move away from the coast. They messed up the ecosystem for a temporary home. No insurance to rebuild
