Cantor asked whether there is an infinity between the counting numbers and the real-number continuum.<br><br>Gödel showed the usual rules allow a universe where the answer is no. Cohen showed the same rules allow a universe where the answer is yes.<br><br>So here’s the question:<br><br>Should mathematics choose new axioms to decide the Continuum Hypothesis, or should we accept that different set-theoretic universes are equally legitimate?
