Here's the follow-on video about quantum computing: https://youtu.be/RQWpF2Gb-gU

In my original plan, that follow-on was going to be much more centered around the parallel with this block collision problem. In the end, that structure proved to be more confusing than helpful. I still show the connection, but only as a brief structured exercise at the end. It's based on this paper by my friend Adam Brown: https://arxiv.org/pdf/1912.02207

For the record, I offered Grant a 'higher quality' Parker Square. He just laughed for a while.

Always love it when the answer is “that’s beyond the scope of math” and not just “that’s beyond the scope of this video”

Probably nobody will read this comment, but your original video is what inspired me to do what I did for my graduation project. I did a "physics simulation game" with different experiments to be used on a classroom, and the colliding blocks computing pi was the first one I did, and the one I spent the most time on. You quite literally changed my life and helped me find what I needed to complete my degree. I’ll be forever grateful for that video.

You know things are gonna get serious when the blocks in the thumbnail turned 3D.

I love when math throws in random pi jumpscares when you actualy analyse how things behave

crazy how it's been 6 years since that video already

Secretly genius to discuss the off-by-one error possibility and then post this one day before Pi day.

2:44 love that you knew someone would complain about the sound even though it's an obvious simulation where you add "light" flashes and sound to demonstrate collisions

Professor Sanderson.
When you released that video I was only a high school student, that met your channel while trying to self taught calculus.
Now I am a physics bachelor that has started its first day on a applied physics company, thank you very much for having been such a important teatcher for me during thosse years even if we haven't met.

The colliding blocks video was my first introduction to this channel. I'm now studying Computing & IT and Mathematics at university. Crazy how things change in such a short time. Keep doing what you're doing Grant, you'll inspire a million more mathematicians yet :D
