  My brother built his own house and designed it with remarkable practicality, making thoughtful use of every inch of space. One of the bathrooms is located right next to the main entrance, allowing him to clean up immediately after repairing the car, working in the garden, or coming home with snow and muddy boots in winter, without tracking dirt through the rest of the house.<br><br>The kitchen is organized with impressive efficiency, and the same level of care is evident in the laundry room and the bedrooms. Although the house is quite small, he made it feel spacious and highly functional. He approached the design with consideration for his wife, understanding how exhausting constant cleaning can be and wanting the home to work for her rather than create more work.<br><br>Of course, my sister-in-law also played a major role in the design. She has a wonderful sense of aesthetics, which adds beauty and harmony to the home. When I returned after several years and finally saw their work, I was truly in awe.

  I moved a small bookcase and dresser into my walk in closet for more organization. No need to buy a closet system, use what you have!

  BTW, you just saved me $800. We are planning to remodel our laundry room and I was looking at cabinets for the vacuum/broom etc. The cabinet at Lowes cost $1000. 😢 thought I would have to save my pennies for a long time! The one you showed in this video is perfect and I checked at IKEA, it is $200. Yay!

  - second rod in to closet<br>- wall shelving (bookshelves are good)<br>- floating shelves<br>- narrow (shoe) cabinets along the wall<br>- unter the bed<br>- back of the door<br>- choose furniture with storage (ottomans etc.)<br>- declutter!

  As a senior with a 2 story house and 2400 sq ft I want LESS to store! I have just decluttered 70% of my house to make less work for me. We have a small kitchen and cleared off all counter space except for the toaster oven and knife set. I&apos;ve painted all the baseboards bc they were old and no amount of dusting and scrubbing was going to make them look clean and the kitchen looks brighter and cleaner. More storage creates more stuff to spend money on. I&apos;m going to be 78, don&apos;t see family but maybe once a year and no friends bc they have moved or passed on - soooo, all I want is peace. &nbsp;I do have a few areas for knick knacks but few so I&apos;m not looking at a dozen things to pick up in order to dust. I have 2 huge walk in closets in my upstairs bedroom and have cut the inventory by 75% and it could use a bit more. I&apos;ve gone through my shoes, sandals and boots twice and still have some I could clearly declutter but not ready for that yet. My husband won&apos;t let anything go bc Justin Case lives in his world.
