  My mother hit the nail on head this last Christmas when she got me a simple plaque that says "I'd rather be lost in the woods than found at home.". I love it, my wife hates it! 🤣🤣🤣

  My husband and I got lost trying to find his friend at a camping spot three hours up a logging road that he’d only been to once before, this past summer. We ran into the same situation of getting low on gas (we did have extra), no cell service and trying not to panic. We never argued or played the blame game. We made the decision as Greg did to go to a major part of the road and just wait till morning. It ended up his friend came looking for us because he was worried we’d gone off the side of the mountain or something. I’ve never been so happy to see headlights in my life

  What I admire about this video most; No selective editing or obfuscation of reality; humility over pride and a consummate demonstration of the virtues of recognising that nobody is infallible; In a world, often, where mistakes and errors are stigmatised and perceived as ignominious, Greg demonstrates true integrity by embracing mistakes as a critical component to forging one’s continued pursuit of experience and success.  Right on.

  I realise I'm speaking to someone who's much more experienced than I am, but one thing that might serve you well in case this ever happens again: You can make your own sketch map while you're trying to find your way back. It won't tell you how to get back, but at least that way you shouldn't end up going round in circles and you might be able to figure out which way is most promising.
