  For me, I don't even need to be watching this movie while listening.  I've seen this masterpiece over 100 times.

  The guy who plays Pancho &nbsp;was actually a Vietnam Vet called Richard Chaves. His arguably most-well known role was Col Ironhorse in the War Of The Worlds TV Series.

  Based on what Stan Winston said in the making of Predator, James Cameron’s input was “I always wanted to see something with Mandibles,” not dreadlocks.

  This movie came out the year I was born and is my favorite film of all time. &nbsp;The soundtrack is iconic.

  Director <b>John McTiernan</b> repeated that foreign language melding into English conceit from <b>&quot;The Hunt For Red October&quot;</b> to even better effect in <b>&quot;The Thirteenth Warrior&quot;</b> - tracking in montage Antonio Bandares&apos; Arabic character Ibn&apos;s gradual comprehension of Old Norse in the first reel while traveling with the band of 12 other Vikings.<br><br>Later director <b>Brian Singer</b> did a variation on that technique in his WWII Hitler assassination plot movie <b>&quot;Valkyrie&quot;</b> staring Tom Cruise to get out of German and into English within the opening credits.

  I always liked in the 13th Warrior when &nbsp;Banderas started to pick up the viking language and then it translated into english, good movie too!
