  It's bollocks! We caught one at work, detained the little scrote, police arrested him he was out the next day, it was all on CCTV absolute joke of a country. You're better off battering them and not involving the police.

  It really pisses me off the police are not doing anything did you see the video going round from yesterday of the girl in sainsburys petrol station in tamworth at 12 o'clock noon try and have her bike off her while people sat and watched?  Just got back from a city break in Brussels,  and Luxembourg  and out of the hundreds of bikes parked outside work places and on streets not one even had a disc lock.  No one was near them messing all day either.   That included Gent and bruges too.  Just goes to show what a shithole Britain is.  Full of robbing cxxts.

  Had my new R1 stolen in Brighton in 2023 - worked my ass off to have my dream bike... stolen within 2 months. Police? &quot;closed the case&quot; after just 12 hours. Pathetic.

  Nothing will stop a bike being taken if the scum want it enough. If you try and stop them you will be arrested for assault, it happened to me. I was arrested and held for 22 hrs because the scrotes causing criminal damage to my property told the police I assaulted them ( I didn’t) ,no evidence just the word of the scrotes, they got nothing. The country is a complete joke and so are the police.

  Just need to set up a sting at local hotspot for theft, then when they turn up to steal the bike. You deal your own justice, you and your mates.

  My 1000cc motorbike was stolen in London in February 2026, from a private residential car park with CCTV. It was parked right under a CCTV camera. It was secured with two angle-grinder-resistant locks, anchored, and covered. 2 AirTags gave a last known location just 3 miles from the crime scene — a very suspicious place, with deactivated shipping containers where bikes could easily be stored.<br>The Police don’t seem to care. They haven’t even bothered asking my housing association for the CCTV footage — which apparently only the police can access. The housing association also refused to share or even watch the CCTV footage, citing the UK Data Protection Act 2018.<br>What a joke!<br>I had to claim through my insurance.<br>Now my insurance quotes for a replacement bike are insanely high. For some quotes, I’m getting premiums that are over the full value of the motorbike, for a single year of insurance. Unbelievable.<br>What London has turned into?<br>government incompetence + impunity = more crimes<br>The worst part of it all, is that if you do &apos;something&apos; trying to prevent the theft, or even help the police in the investigation, you can be punished for that, meanwhile the thieves in general don&apos;t seem to be punished at all...<br>This whining is coming from a Brazilian, so things are F***ed up!

  When the thieves tried to steal the bike off the young man &nbsp;(who had to go through the red light to escape) that was actually attempted robbery and would normally attract an immediate custodial sentence.<br><br>Make sure Charnwood police correctly record it as such and NOT inaccurately as an attempted theft
