  The part about Elizabeth Membry's father wandering the hospital ward with dementia, clutching a photo of his daughter is one of the saddest things I've ever heard in my life. Jesus wept.

  Sounds like the police really dropped the ball multiple times. Every time someone new went back over the files, they found a lot of things that had been ignored the first (second, third, fourth ...) time around.

  For me it’s Crumb so many things he did look dodgy<br>Leaving town shortly after, saying he had to fill a hole for his boss when he wasn’t even working, driving past Lis house before leaving town, telling police he once had to move Lis car which his sister said never happened so hes already putting himself in her car, friend finding a black handbag in his glove box.<br>Thing I find astounding is when I heard these things police always would say nah hes not a person of interest? WTF

  This is so sad, poor Elisabeth and her poor parents. I hope her remains may yet be found one day and she can be laid to rest next to her dad. <br>A class episode as always. Thanks Casey and team.

  I remember Elisabeth&apos;s disappearance and have hoped for years that this could be solved and her remains found. &nbsp;<br><br>What stands out and disgusts me about the whole thing is the number of suspects. That there are so many males in just one situation who could plausibly have done this makes me ill. What a sad indictment on these losers. <br><br>Meanwhile a lovely young woman with everything to look forward to was robbed of her life and her family have had to bear that all these years.<br><br>Thank you Casefile for your thorough explanation of this case.

  I always feel sorry for the remaining children in a family where a sibling is murdered as their whole lives would be forever dominated by that one awful event. My thoughts are with her Mum and siblings ❤

  I&apos;ve been listening to Casefile for about 10 years now… Honestly every single episode is so impressive and thought provoking… This one is so sad I really hope Elizabeth can be found someday, this world is so unfair sometimes.
