  I always assumed that Regigigas was put on Earth to actually move the continents, but after its task was finished there was nothing left for it to do but roam the Earth. I think that because of its loneliness, it built the other Regis as companions, and because Regigigas had created life without Arceus’s influence, Regigigas was cursed with the Slowstart ability, and it and the other Regis were sealed away in Temples not meant to be opened.

  Reading through the Emerald manual and seeing the braille and being confused only to come across the sealed chamber and remember what I saw in the manual when flicking through when I first bought the game is probably my favourite Pokémon memory

  The Teraleak revealing Regigigas being the last of primordial giants born alongside and slain by Arceus then bound to toil in the world he created will never not be the most metal thing ever. The elemental plates are the last remnants of those Primordials and the Regis are his attempt to recreate his lost kin. Regigigas is a tragic existence.

  Galar&apos;s ruins add to an overall sense that the region has a history composed of multiple time periods (rather than just &quot;modern&quot; and &quot;mysterious ancient&quot;). Turffield&apos;s megaliths suggest a prehistoric stone age, Hammerlocke and the Slumber Weald ruin have medieval style architecture, Motostoke and the mines suggest a 19th Century style industrial age, Circhester has both 18th Century architecture and the ruins of a classical ancient style bath complex, whilst Wyndon is an advanced 21st Century city. I know that it&apos;s essentially a carbon copy of Britain, but it&apos;s great that they went to such effort to make Galar feel like a real place with real history. It&apos;s a shame Paldea didn&apos;t receive the same treatment as it&apos;s effectively just modern Spain/Portugal without much of their history represented. They could have dotted some ruined Roman, Moorish and Medieval European architecture around the map to add some historical flavour

  The Embedded Tower being built by the Draconids is also supported by the redesign of Sky Pillar in ORAS. In that game Sky Pillar has masonry shaped like Rayquaza’s patterns, while the Embedded Tower’s floor changes shape to match Kyogre and Groudon’s patterns.

The concept of kami (gods) in Shintoism that are often tied to certain places or natural events and the Kamuy of Ainu religion are very similar in concept, some are even the same god but worshipped and named differently. It’s also very important to note that the Ainu were expelled from the mainland (southern part) of Japan way before those of Hokkaido and the northern islands of Karafuto (SachaLin) the development of Hokkaido and the expulsion of the ainu of Hokkaido really kicked off in the late 1800s, which coincides with the time period legend Arceus takes place in. Actually I find legends arceus to be really good at portraying the feeling of wild nature and development in a region with hostile wildlife (there were many bears in Hokkaido back then, so much so that a lot of Ainu culture revolves around worshipping and hunting them) also fun fact akari (hisui dawn) has shoes that kinda resemble traditional Ainu shoes as well as a headband that was also common Ainu attire , though the headbands usually had intricate designs personalised to the clan that the person belonged to.

  This was absolutely fantastic. The world of Pokemon might honestly be the series&apos; greatest strength outside of its creature catalog. I love how you can go from exploring giant office buildings, and also have ancient ruins right around the corner from one another, and they blend together so seamlessly in the world.

  So, the newborn deities of creation in the Sinjoh Ruins aren’t shiny locked. Most annoying way to get a shiny Giratina is here.
