  Love old school cafes, diners like this. Some of the best food can  be had at these hidden gems. Glad yall enjoyed it.

  That building used to be The Lantern Restaurant and was my first job at 16 years old. 🥹❤ My husband and I enjoy watching your videos and we are especially enjoying these Dobson and Mt. Airy videos!

  I travelled through Dobson today, 9/29/26, and stopped at the Central Cafe for lunch at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_e5FlVHUyE&amp;t=720">12:00</a> noon. There was only one table available, one that seats eight people. I sat on one end and another man sat on the other end. Pretty soon, half of that table was full too. <br><br>I ordered the Ground Steak sandwich, because I was raised near Mt. Airy, and it is my go-to order. <br><br>I&apos;ve eaten the ground steak sandwich at Speedy Chef in Bannertown for decades. The Ground Steak sandwich at the Central Cafe was head and shoulders better, easily the best that I&apos;ve ever eaten. It was heavenly!<br><br>I wanted to write and thank you for the video, because without your showcasing the restaurant I never would have known to stop at this gem. Central Cafe in Dobson is my NEW gold standard for this sandwich.

  Glad you liked it. Yall were less than a mile from my house. The big ole city of Dobson. It is a pretty nice area for the most part.

  I live in Dobson &nbsp;and love Central! <br>Best breakfast in town. <br><br>Definitely try Speedy Chef &nbsp;too!

  I love old school places like this. The prices were fantastic and so homey. In the Poconos there is a little diner called The Country View that reminds me of this place that my husband and I ate breakfast at twice this trip and twice last trip. Both your meals looked good. The ground beef sounds a little similar to chopped beef in my area. Looked delicious on a roll like that. Here it&apos;s not served on a roll. It&apos;s served like a meatloaf. The dessert I never heard of but looked good. I love trying regional food specialties. Great video.
