They had more of a hegemony than an empire, similar to the early Greek. <br>A bunch of city-states an minor kings that would band together under the lead of one city-state when needed, but otherwise had no centralized government that ruled all of the city-states.

Pelinal killed so many Alyeids at one point that their blood dyed his hair brown WHILE he was wearing his helmet.

I find the Ayleids very strange and interesting. you feel the ancient vibe in the ruins.

As a historian (real world), I found this to be an interesting look at the Ayleids. It's a pity we don't have more data to work with. Looking forward to more videos about say, the Direnni and Snow Elves.
