Apparently the dwarves rode snow whales!! There’s also a dwemer ruin with a shit ton of giant whale skeletons in it, and a clear like large exit they could go in and out from. Also the whole potion thing is very kirkbridian, because from what I remember they also like rained what is elder scrolls cocaine down on the lands below lmao. I could be misremembering that tho

We do know snow whales exist or at least used to. Unless parthranax dragged a whale all the way up to the very top of the throat of the world.

Sky whales has a basis in real world lore too. It comes from having found bones far from the ocean of marine animals due to tectonic shifts uplifting sections of ancient oceans above sea level which led to people finding these animals outside of the ocean. Similarly to how the top of mount Everest has seashell fossils.

I like the idea that the dinosaur analgoues of tamriel lived on and adapted in morrowind as the large reptiles

I had wondered before what the verminous were and why such a creature would be made by Sotha Sil. The whales from ancient Nordic stories actually have signs of existing, just not in places you&apos;d expect. Regular whales definitely exist on Nirn and there&apos;s the whalebone bridge in Sovngarde which shows them to be extremely large. <br>Aside from that, there&apos;s a huge and unidentified ribcage that, as far as I know, can only be seen on the map of Kagrenzel. It confirms that at least something far larger than what we see alive in the game has been in Skyrim at some point but what exactly those ribs belong to is very unclear. It could be a whale, one of the ancient giants suggested to be bigger than what we see walking around, or some unmentioned thing that nobody in any game has named so far. I&apos;ve thought a lot about what kind of creature could be large enough to have bones like that, have been in the Velothi mountains, and ended up buried deep in the ground. It&apos;s the kind of question that just sticks in the mind.
