  We weren’t typing essays. If you had an essay assignment, you wrote the whole thing by hand in cursive.

  "Look it up in the dictionary" was always followed up by "sound it out." Moms had zero tolerance for excuses.

  I drive most places from memory.  I don’t need a map, but I grew up without a cell phone or GPS so even I get a little lost it’s just part of the drive.

  The fact that kids today get weather and school alerts via text is crazy. Who else remembers having to wait until your school and/or county status scrolls across the TV at the bottom of the screen?! One foot out the door waiting for that last update hoping your school was closed 😂😂😂

  As a genx ..yes I could live without a phone. And it irritates me when ppl call and think I have to answer ...i dont have to do anything.

  As a child we had encyclopedia and dictionary books for our information. I, actually made my kids look up words and information because I wanted them to know how to do that. I also made them learn to tell time with a clock using the hands. I feel like it’s a good skill to have 🥰
