  The dark haired lady is Claudia Black. I developed a crush on her back during the old tv series Farscape. She was also in the later seasons of Stargate SG1.

  what I love about this movie is that it isn't about riddick but the captain. She's the anti-hero and the one who does the most growth from beginning to end. It's amazing that the writers basically did the reverse of "save the cat" at the beginning with her character attempting to purge everyone; to then by the end being willing to die for those that have survived. It's why it's one of my favorite low budget horror movies.

  The FX of the eclipse scene is still outstanding to this day.  It's better than some CGI of today.

  For reference on Riddicks strength each of the power cells is 35 kilos (77 pounds). There are 4 of them thats 140 kilos (308 pounds) that he was pulling like it was nothing by himself.

  Before you watch “Chronicles of Riddick,” you should check out the animated short film “Dark Fury”! It picks up right where “Pitch Black” left off and serves as a bridge to “Chronicles of Riddick”!

  Cole during research asked an addict what is the worst place to shoot up in and it was the tear duct.  The reason  Johns is addicted to morphine, in a deleted scene Johns explains Riddick went for his sweet spot but a piece of the shiv broke off close to his spine.  Doctors had to leave it in.  He tells Fry this after she catches him shooting up.  So Johns is in constant pain from the broken shiv piece hitting  his spine.  That deleted scene briefly humanized Johns.  Briefly.😅

  The Chronicles of Riddick film series storyline started same way as Indiana Jones film series beginning with “Raiders of the Lost Ark” Lol
