I honestly love that Riddick went out of his way to hunt down the Imam's killer. Despite all his bravado and cold exterior, he does have a human side.

All these years and I still can't get over how pleasing the aesthetic of this movie is. There are only a handful of action type movies that I think have a picture perfect look and this is one of them.

<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-MEqBp9vaNU&t=4017">1:06:57</a>: in the theatrical version, after the “keep what you kill” kneeling scene, it cuts away, and along with a Judi Dench ending narration, we see the Necromonger weapon deactivate and the surrounding necro ships land… pretty much confirming Helios Prime being saved since Riddick is now Lord Marshal.

Vin Diesel wanted Dame Judi Dench to play Aereon, and went to great lengths to get her. A long-time fan of Dench, he had her dressing room filled with bouquets of flowers, and also advised her that they could not begin casting the movie until she agreed to accept the role

The Purifier's line, "I've done unbelievable things in the name of a faith that was never my own", was not originally in the script. It was improvised by Linus Roache, and writer and director David Twohy kept it in the movie
