Cool video.

Some tips:
- 40:00 You couldn't select retro/pro grade bc you were moving too slowly.
- You can also make docking easier by looking at the navball. If you press the IJKL keys (similar to WASD), while in manover mode (bottom left it's one of the options) use those until your prograde aligns perfectly with the target, and adjust as you get closer.
- When rendezvousing with planets of objects (yes I googled the spelling), I tend to burn a bit off from the target. So if I'm moving too fast for example, I'll turn to the anti-target, find my retrograde, and burn on the opposite side my retrograde is at, which changes my retrograde to be over the anti-target. If I'm too slow, I instead burn opposite of prograde to match target. If doing either of those doesn't get me to it, I'll then slow down, speed up, and use other burns slowly, to see which direction lowers the distance.
- Oh, and consider locking hinges and stuff so they don't wobble.
- You can use sepratrons to stop the solid rocket boosters falling into the rocket. If you make them point away from the rocket, and put them in the same stage as the decouplers, the srbs with fly away from the rocket. (bigger srbs will need more sepratrons)

The glass on that Cupola definitely is well tinted. Also, I am impressed by how well they can keep cool that close to the sun. Oh and not sure what mod that does it, but in my game the sun is called Kerbol.

I did something like this in spaceflight simulator once. It was easier since the rockets in that game aren’t bendy like wet spaghetti, the solar system is half the size of the one in KSP, and it’s two dimensional. Still, I ended up having to do a rescue mission in low solar orbit. Not thrilling, but learned from the experienced.

in ksp1 the central star of the "kerbol" system is simply "the sun"

 There are Dyson spheres
There are Dyson rings.
And then there is an ISS orbiting close to the sun.
