The '54 was gifted to Frampton while he was in Humble Pie. He was having horrible luck with his previous guitar and feedback. The previous owner of the Fenix heard Peter struggling and let him use the Phenix for the remaining shows in SF. After the shows were over, Peter asked to buy it. The owner said no, you can have it. And the rest as they say is history.

I actually saw the Frampton Comes Alive tour in Kansas City at one of the stadiums. Don't ask me which I was 20,it was '76, dazed and confused was about that year, get it? <br>I will never forget being there and the whole experience. The music was great even though Gary Wright opened (Deam Weaver).<br>I will also never forget the Kate Hudson waif of a girl who danced in her birthday suit on a pyramid of guys between bands. One of those, "you had to been there " moments. I was 20 and life is very grand! <br>The guitar would be wasted on me. Buy it Cooper!

The first Les Paul that makes me miss having one... the body binding is the same faded "orangy" color my 1978 Standard had that I traded for my 0-18 Martin a couple years ago!
