  Wrote my test 2 weeks ago and scored a band 9 in speaking. Your tips helped me so much. The most important speaking tip is to speak naturally, resist the urge to use elaborate words in a bid to impress the examiner. Plus it&apos;s okay to repeat words sometimes. Once, I caught myself about to use the word &quot;efficient&quot; for maybe the third time in the test. I hesitated for a bit, scanning my head for a synonym. None came fast enough, so I blurted out &quot;efficient&quot; again. Didn&apos;t impact my score one bit. Pretend you are having a meaningful conversation with an older, wiser friend; your ideas will flow naturally and your choice of words will not sound forced. Goodluck.
