Dude...I frickin' love you. Thank you for doing what you do so much man. I mean that sincerely. I've been playing guitar since I was 10. All I've ever played are covers. I'm 35 now. I've never really taken any lessons but I can play hundreds of songs that aren't mine. You taught me how to play the blues after I watched one of your videos of few months ago and I've been playing around with it ever since and watching more of your videos but this one right here...maaaaan. this is one of those light bulb moment technical breakdowns that I've needed for 25 years. I freaking love you dude. You just helped to make it better at my favorite hobby. Literally feels like I've been trapped in a dark room and you just unlocked the door and let some light in.Sounds corny but I don't even care. Sincerely...THANK you. 🙏🏼

Played in garage bands in high school, had lots of fun. Played rhythm guitar and mostly bass. Then came the navy, marriage , raise kids, life, you get it. Now fifty years later I decided to relearn guitar. Went down to the local guitar center, bought an amp, guitar, etc. So I have been practicing scales, chords, pentatonic, etc. I practice everyday (I am retired), having fun playing and then this video happened and it all makes since. Watch out world , a 73 year old Rock Star is about to be born.

Best explanation of CAGED I've ever seen. And I've been studying this stuff for decades. Well done.

Went right over my head that did.<br><br>"It's called <insert name of chord> because it follows a <insert name of chord> pattern" --proceeds to play a scale which looks nothing like the chord he's just mentoned.

Just want to say, as someone who learns visually, and gets lost in words, your visuals are amazing, the major scale parts, showing the fingers but also the pattern with the corresponding colours is perfect, this video was exactly what I was looking for and I'm glad I found it, don't underestimate how appreciated them added extra are to someone like me 👌👌

I don't understand anything in this video, but then again I'm a complete beginner learning open chords haha. Maybe I should come back to this video in a couple of months.

People chase the dragon re: drugs but few things hit harder than finding a person with the chops to clearly explain something that many attempt to but fail miserably.
