  I got to meet Tom Petty during the &apos;Dogs With Wings&quot; tour. I had made a sculpture for him which they hung in his tourbus and got backstage passes (my exhusband and I owned an art gallery and got to decorate the dressing room with art). Getting to meet Petty and shake his hand and exchange a few words with him was a highlight in my life. When he passed away, my daughter called me and I was at work. I broke down and cried. He was a favorite singer/song writer and I owned all his albums. Loved his music.

  I&apos;ve actually shed a tear when he died, his music was amazing to me, he took me &nbsp;to a happy place. When my kids hear any of his songs they sing along! and every time i see that, i shed another tear. I watched his halftime super bowl &nbsp;show like 100 times. &nbsp;when I&apos;m down he brings me up. RIP Tom

  I saw him six times over almost 50 years. I took my wife and five kids to see him; they all still love his music. Without a doubt, he was one of the best performers I have ever seen. The day he died, I called my two best friends, college roommates from the 70&apos;s, and we talked about the loss. It still hurts.

  Tom Petty&apos;s family told everyone how he passed away and i watched , i felt bad for them all and they did not hide anything and the honesty about it was amazing . &nbsp;I appreciated the families honesty . &nbsp;My heart goes out to the whole family , addiction affects a lot of families and it is so sad . &nbsp;I would rather hear the truth , and no cover ups . &nbsp;Prayers go out to the family .

  I grew up listening to him, thanks to my mom. Still so sad I never got to see him in concert. His death absolutely shocked me, there’s no one else like him &amp; probably won’t ever be.
