  I was once fired from waiting tables for calling the cops on a mother and her 2 kids because both boys had obvious wounds all over them and another coworker witnessed the "mother" beat the older child with the belt buckle in the face in an open bathroom stall. I have never once regretted loosing my job this way. If you're seeing these signs at 3pm in public, what's going on at 3am when no one else is looking. If you see something, say something. You could be saving a life.

  "She said she was afraid of having kids taken away" ... no, she was afraid (rightly so) those Disability checks would stop.

  The fact that the children did not feel they could call for help for an entire year, just shows how abuse and neglect deeply scars the way a child sees the world. It's not a safe place and people cannot be trusted. I just hope, the people in these childrens lives from here on out, prove them different. I pray the children heal and overcome the trauma they never ever should have faced.

  I’m a single mother, and I’ll seriously never understand how these “mothers” put men before their children. Praying for the surviving children, and that the monsters get the sentence they deserve.

  I live in Houston, and I remember when this happened, and that was the first question that we all asked: &quot;How come no one checked on these children?&quot; I just looked it up, and I&apos;m happy to report that Brian got 99 years with no parole and Gloria got 50 years and she won&apos;t be eligible for parole for at least 20 years. The sentences were only given this year. The children had to testify at Brian&apos;s trial, but since Gloria pled guilty, they did not have the testify at hers. I pray for those children.
