We Tested 6 Parmesan Brands For Wood Pulp — Kraft, Sargento, Stella & 3 More. Most Failed. The front of the package says one hundred percent. The back of the package tells a different story. We tested six grated and shredded Parmesan brands — Kraft, Great Value, Essential Everyday, Stella, 4C and Sargento — against one standard: what milk, how long aged, and what else is in the bag. Six failed. Three passed. Here's exactly who, plus the 2016 lab test that found up to 8.8% cellulose — wood pulp — inside a canister labeled "100% Grated Parmesan Cheese," and the federal fraud case that ended with a $5,000 fine while the brand carrying the highest reading is still on the shelf today. Run the 3-question test on any package tonight: 1) What milk? (real Parmigiano starts with whole milk — watch for "pasteurized part-skim milk") 2) How long? (the U.S. standard requires curing "not less than 10 months" — but no label has to tell you the date) 3) What else? (read what sits OUTSIDE the parenthesis — cellulose powder, potato starch, natamycin) Three clean answers = nothing to hide. Blanks and fillers = that's your answer. 🔍 Inside This Video: • 6 grated Parmesan brands that failed • 3 that passed — including a certified wheel for about $8 • The Castle Cheese federal fraud case explained • Why the viral iodine test is chemically backwards (and proves nothing) • The "standard of identity" and the empty box in the rule that makes it all legal • 3 simple checks you can run tonight: the parenthesis test, the frico test, the rind test The 3 that passed: Parmigiano Reggiano (any Consorzio DOP wheel) · BelGioioso · Trader Joe's Parmigiano Reggiano.
