  This poor young girl fell through so many cracks. Her mother let her down and abandoned her twice. The police forensic examiner really messed up back in 1981 by removing name her as a match to her body. The state and church-run halfway homes didn’t look out for her. If it weren’t for the deep care of her sister, friend, and the girl who found her body, we’d never know what happened to her or her name.

  Aww the grandma never stopped looking for her, absolutely heartbreaking 😢What was Grandma’s name? So many kids in the 70/80s ran away or were wards of the state (US equivalent) and ended up living rough or in those ‘bad kids’ homes and were preyed upon by the worst people. I wonder if Larry Singleton murdered poor Carole, fits his MO. What a sad story 😢

  I’ve come to the conclusion that these men protect each other because some have relatives and friends involved in the crimes. Just look: cold cases get solved quickly once the killers are dead... I wonder why, right? Fifty years later, they discover the identities of the victim and the perpetrator—only for the victim&apos;s family to be gone, the perpetrator to have died, and so on. That’s not a miracle or a coincidence. It’s a <b>modus operandi</b> for getting away with the crime.

  I find it interesting that, across a lot of cold cases I follow, they tend to finally get solved once they put a female detective on the case, and that&apos;s the case here, too. I think that&apos;s pretty cool.
