  When I was ill with breast cancer I took their books about the Chateau and the nurse read them to us after out surgery when 3 ladies on the ward were in pain. It made us all laugh and feel better. I emailed Angel and told her all about it and thanked her and Dick for giving us all a laugh at the worst time of our lives. In less than 20 minutes Angel replied with so much love and care it was wonderful. We messaged a number of times and went to see them in Cardiff and finally met in person. She was so lovely and pleased to see us. Thank you Angel love Sophie

  There is no ‘bad’ language when you’re telling someone to get out of your space and out of your home.<br>All power to you Angel, there is no shame in holding boundaries for yourself.

  Australia here. Angel Strawbridge has EVERY right to say or do anything she chooses, especially when confronted &amp; cornered by an obnoxious man, someone in her employ, in her own home. Good for her: she came out fighting for herself and her family. Escape to the Chateau has been a wonderful escape for millions across the world and we&apos;ll miss it terrribly. Dick is such a wonderful husband, the children Arthur &amp; Dorothy are a delight and Angel &amp; Dick&apos;s &nbsp;beautiful, creative, tasteful and inventive work has been a marvel to behold. I wish them all every happiness and success for their future.

  Ms. Strawbridge, understand one thing , you and your family did an awesome job with your show and it was so super. Watching you and the family working in the Chateau with all the beautiful, original ideas for the rooms, along with all the joy you brought to the children was amazing. &nbsp;Don&apos;t &nbsp;let one mean person distroy all the joy your family brought to so many people.   Let&apos;s not forget that this man chose to confront her in a place where she was isolated from everyone. &nbsp;I&apos;d be aggressive in my reply too if a man had me cornered away from everyone (who had before) and was at the time behaving unpredictably. She wasn&apos;t just defending herself, sounds like she was also &nbsp;protecting herself.

  I bought some of Angel&apos;s wallpaper from Next, had a whole load of grief from Next as only 1 roll of wallpaper turned up. After weeks of messing around i still had 0 joy so conracted the Chateau&apos;s &apos;customer service team&apos; to ask for advice &nbsp;.... turns out Angel was their customer service team and sorted it out for me, she was amazing. She was very generous and very helpful. Reading all these comments and there is nothing but love for her and Dick x

  I remember hearing about the incident (but not listening to the tape) and seriously &nbsp;felt that after being filmed for a decade while renovating a chateau with small kids and a frequently tight budget while starting a wedding business and trying to communicate in a foreign language, it was remarkable that Angel didn’t lose her temper at least once a season! <br>After Angel’s explanation it appears she showed admirable restraint… well done Angela!

  There is no shame in standing up to a bully. This man’s behaviour had been percolating for some time and each time it causes another level of stress. Good on you Angel for defending yourself in that moment to get him out of your home.

  I went to a gardening day at the château, and it was just wonderful. As we drove up to the front of the château, Dick was there greeting everyone. He just said hello, kissed us on each cheek, and said, “Just go into the living room and dining room — there’s some breakfast, croissants and tea.”<br>So everyone went in and we just sat in their living room, wandering through to the dining room to get croissants. It was absolutely gorgeous.<br>Then Angel came down with the children, they were all so natural and friendly.<br> I think I’d paid £50 to go and do the gardening day, but they put on this amazing three-course lunch for us, with duck, and Angel was pouring the drinks. It was just such a lovely, relaxed day and we had so much fun.<br>We got to see every part of the house. There wasn’t really anywhere we couldn’t go, and that made it feel so special. We were welcomed into every part of their home, and it felt incredibly comfortable.<br>It was just absolutely gorgeous to be part of it all and to meet them both. I honestly feel so lucky to have had that experience.<br>When I heard the recording, I thought, “good for you, sticking up for yourself!”
