  Thanks again,Fred. Appreciate the quality content covering what the average person can afford. I understand I'm not buying an Alinco or a Kenwood,but I would like it to out last the boots I'm wearing and that's all most of us are asking for anyway. Buy this now, figure out what I ACTUALLY need/want and THEN make the "buy once,cry once" purchase. Looking forward to seeing your next one!

  Good stuff Fred. I'm in Aus and have had 1 of these for around 6 years. Great little radio, sturdy, reliable, and that antenna tuner really is unbelievable at times. Yes there are way better radios out there, and the speaker is awful, but for the price, and the service it's given me, i'd buy another tomorrow if it died.

  One cheap  way of getting the most from the standard speaker is to use a plastic right angle plumbing joint to throw the sound forward. Choose a size which fits over the speaker aperture and use Velcro to keep it in place. I've never had a problem with the audio but people who have tried the plumbing fitting trick, say it's good.   Hi Fred, if you put the compressor on and set the mic gain on max, you get more power. I have 22 watt on my Xiegu G90.

  I have the G90. It&apos;s a good radio but the display is a bit small. There are also firmware inconsistencies. Some have that speaker switch. Some have it on the volume control. Lots of other differences like bandwidth selection. A lot of people plug a powered speaker into the earphone socket. Ali Express do ones with a built in plug. You charge up from USB and just plug it in. It supports it&apos;s own weight on the plug.

  Fred make a video testing some different external speakers, Anker make some nice small ones for portable use with decent sound for a small size, great video! I&apos;ll stick with my FT-817, but I&apos;m very tempted, as I am with your 30AMP PSU&apos;s 🎉

  The G90 pairs very nicely with a BHI DSP speaker, it totally transforms the received audio, but it&apos;s quite an expensive addition to the radio. I have a video example on my channel.
