This actually seems like a fun way to do shiny hunting, no actual targets in mind just wandering the region and seeing if anything shows up

For comparison, on my switch, I beat the ENTIRE GAME without seeing a SINGLE SHINY (exept for that hacked in one I got in a surprise trade but we don't talk about that one)

When I opened up Scarlet for the first time, I walked around the corner from the light house after you get your starter, Shiny Fletchling.

You got the win. Honestly it was hilarious that Yungoos stopped you at the end. Kudos

Funnily enough this is typically how I hunt for shinies. I don’t have enough Herba Mystica to make sandwiches and actually hunt for something I want, so I’ll just take whatever’s available lol

I’m not even lying. I just tried to do this challenge and within the first 30 seconds I found a shiny Starly.

People only ever get Shinies when they're not looking for them and/or actively don't want them. It's an unspoken rule.
