  I had a fibroid at 15 years old. Looked9 months pregnant &nbsp;and was accused by drs, parents and friends of getting pregnant. &nbsp;I finally collapsed, almost died and was rushed to hospital. Dr hadn&apos;t done anything for whole year. Took my ovary, was told can&apos;t have kids, have 2. Trust your instincts push for specialist.

  I just had a midline hysterectomy because of my 3 giant fibroids, the largest of which was 18cm. &nbsp;My uterus was the size of a basketball and weighed 5kg. &nbsp;I&apos;d spent 2-3 years walking around looking heavily pregnant, having significant back and hip pain. &nbsp;I gained a lot of extra weight because I couldnt walk far without becoming breathless. &nbsp;I&apos;m 2 weeks post surgery and on total bedrest because of ongoing bleeding but I&apos;m so looking forward to getting my life back and being the mother my kids have been missing the last few years.

  Fibroid size: one was grapefruit, another pomegranate + 10 smaller ones. I looked heavily pregnant, asymptomatic. Today I&apos;m celebrating 2 weeks post total hysterectomy🎉

  I have a 27 cm fibroid in my uterus, and I never felt any pain from it. However, over the last 3–4 months, I started noticing that my stomach was becoming hard. I initially thought it was just bloating and waited for almost a month before getting an ultrasound. The ultrasound showed the 27 cm fibroid. I now have my surgery scheduled in about two months, and for now, I’m taking medication.

  I had a myomectomy for my 15cm fibroid just before Covid and I feel so much better for it. <br>For about 5 years I had daily heavy bleeding, no periods just constant flow that would soak through adult nappies, tampons and seats within half an hour.<br>I’d previously had an embolisation which wasn’t successful and I only had the myo surgery on emergency because I was slowing dying from all the blood loss. Regular blood transfusions were getting harder as I have an unusual blood type. <br>It’s sad really that no doctor or gynaecologist took it seriously. The main reason they didn’t is because I was a young adult…

  Over 25 years ago I had multiple fibroids (as my mother and other women in our family), so many that a doc call my uterus fibroid uterus. I got referral for myomectomy, waited 2 years on the waiting list and got too scared of op as &nbsp;discovered myomectomy may increase risk of miscarriage and doesn&apos;t stop fibroids from growing. By the time I got pregnant it was high risk pregnancy- the biggest fibroid was as big as a baby...lots of blood loss, anaemia etc. Suffered with fibroids till menopause and then they shrunk and calcified.

  I just found out that I have one. It&apos;s 2.5x3x3 cm. I was very surprised because I haven&apos;t had any symptoms to my knowledge. Hopefully, now being post menopausal will help the size remain small. <br>I found this video helpful. It gave me piece of mind.

  I just had a full hysterectomy 10 days ago. 3 fibroids .rockmelon, grapefruit and lemon sized. Doctors knew I had them years ago and never told me. If I had known years ago I would have had surgery sooner.

  Just had my surgery 5 days ago, they knew I had 3 but found 10, biggest one was 7cm, 2 3-4cm. I am short constantly looked about 7 months pregnant. Periods were awful, I miss a whole week and haven’t been able to work. I bleed so much I have had to wear diapers the first 3 days. I pee constantly and wear diapers sometimes for that as well. I thought I was just chubby until my husband said he realized I seem to have lost weight everywhere on my body but my &nbsp;stomach. I have severe anemia and high blood pressure but already my blood pressure has dropped significantly after surgery. <br><br>Recovery has a very rough as I found out I am resistant to opioids! But I hope life will be better for me! 🖤
