This just reinforces that you need A LOT in there to get anything like a decent return. I think the most i've ever had in there for any great length of time is £15k and i've never won more than 2-3 £25 prizes in any one year. Haven't had any wins at all for the few hundred in there at the mo for years.

I'm retired on a smallish pension & I use PB's as a tax free investment. Any wins go into an ISA. Anything to keep the taxman off my cash. FYI I've won about £1000 so far this year on PB's.

I was bought £20 of premium bonds when I was born. 10 years later I won £50! Works out at an average interest rate of over 13% a year. However, I've held onto them for a further 39 years, and won zilch since.

My mum and dad and I had a combined £150,000 in PBs for around 4 years and the most any of us ever won was £675 (my dad). We've now sold all of them and put the funds into our ISAs. Premium Bonds aren't veeh "premium" anymore.

Congrats on winning the broadcast journalist of the year award Andy! I’ve been following your channel and website for years and have learned so much so the award is totally deserved!

I watched a you tube video telling me to put money in at the end of every month.  I just put in £30 and regularly get £100 back.

Would love to see a comparison with a ETF like ticker `VWRP`

I think someday there’s going to be a huge controversy about this. One person consistently making more money is odd. It’s like ERNIE is always drawing the numbers from a certain range of all bonds. Is this machine ever independently validated?

I've had a £1 bond that my Grandmother bought me in 1966. Still got it. Still check the result. Not a bean lol😂
