  My house sets on 15 acres of land it&apos;s a mix of pasture and woods. Best thing I ever did was put a pond on it, and my 15-20 hive apiary. The min I put my bees in .. Boom, I have tons of fruits popping up every year. Wild strawberries, blueberry, black berries, Apple trees, etc over 30 different fruits. I get so much yield I started a small business selling my fruits and honey. The bees transformed my entire estate. I&apos;ll never live without them. 💯

  I have 21 hybrid hazelnut bushes in my yard that produce large nuts and lots of them. I have a small indoor greenhouse i set up in my basement to propagate the seeds. I&apos;m adding 120 more hybrid hazelnuts this spring to my a acre food forest. I have a couple hundred bushes trees and vines already that are just now starting to produce. It was a log wait to get everything established. By far, my favorite is my Sea Buckthorn. Most people know about the berries and how healthy they are. But nobody knows about the leaves. The have a lot of protein and almost all of the essential amino acids. You can make tea out of the leaves and add the berries for flavor, but also eat the leaves fresh in a salad. Between the Hazelnuts and Sea Buckthorn leaves i have a complete protein. That means all the essential amino acids. I grow many different kinds of Apple, pear, cherry, apricot, peach trees, and every kind of berry bush because i like the diversity. I don&apos;t even count the smaller plants. There are probably a thousand of them. You could turn any small yard into a food forest with some effort. Most of the trees you buy are dwarf trees that will produce pretty large amounts of fruits.

  30+ years ago, whilst working on a mental health ward one of the patients, during an episode, sat and drew out a full orchard and explained the need to keep all the trees under 6ft and how this would produce a much better harvest. He wasn&apos;t a farmer or anything close, so although i was extremely interested I didn&apos;t give too much more thought. All this time later it makes perfect sense.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mc_2CejZC2s&amp;t=210">3:30</a> you forgot vinegar. Turning this into vinegar allows you to pickle everything else that&apos;s perishable. That vinegar is also good in combination with herbs to make home remedies, or switchel for energy.
