And yet, here we are sitting on our phones watching organization videos rather than tackling our actual space 😂 I'm here for it

A note on "most people underestimate their phone time by 40%." I know at least for me this is because I usually have a YT video or podcast playing while I'm doing other things (tidying, cleaning, doing laundry, cooking, sewing, sometimes even when I'm playing a video game). So while yes my phone screen is on during that time, I'm usually not looking at it, I'm just listening. When I look at time I've spent per app rather than as a whole, my actual "looking at my phone" time is like 1/5th or less of the total.

I have a great tip for routine and keeping a house clean. I have a hard time transitioning from work to home life. I come home and I feel like I want to crash on the couch (and scroll, or veg out staring at the TV or even taking a nap). I just feel overwhelmed and over stimulated from the work day and before you know it, nothing gets done. I started doing a 3 chore rule. When I get home, before I do anything (other than taking my coat off and setting my bag down) I do three quick chores. Those could be emptying the trash, putting away mail clutter, doing the dishes. Nothing should add up more than a half hour, but it gives you an immediate sense of accomplishment and if you are motivated to do more, then good on that. But usually it snaps me out of my want of taking a nap and I feel more productive and I am able to do the other things I want to accomplish like gym time or socializing, etc.

I LOVE how you said we live in the future-either by worry or hope. I am definitely a worrier.

I have lists in Amazon. I add items I want to a list. Then I go back weeks later and find I don't really need the items so I delete them. These are"wants" not "needs". This has stopped me from impulse buying. 😊 Good video. Thnx!

The last point is LIFE-CHANGING! Thank you!! it reminds me of Matthew 6:34 “ Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Thanks so much, Kallie!!!!

"Adult pacifier" is still the best description of a smartphone I've ever read. 12:00

I saw your page almost a month and a half ago. It was a Sunday, and my sink had been full of utensils used over the weekend. You really motivated me to get into the kitchen, clean and leave the kitchen almost spotless. The sink was clean, and so felt my brain. Since then, i make sure I don't go to bed without cleaning my kitchen. I have also gotten into the habit of making sure my living room looks clean before getting to bed. Heartfelt thanks all the way from Kenya. ❤❤❤

You’re so right about phones. Amazing how much push back you’re getting. People are so defensive… which means you’re on to something. We’ve all forgotten what life was like BEFORE the smartphone- which wasn’t that long ago. 🤦🏻♀️ I’m moving to a dumb phone, too… and I know the transition will be hard, but it will change my life in the BEST way.
It’s too bad so many people aren’t willing to do “hard” or just less “convenient” things.
Go outside, spend time with people, pick up a book.

Great tips. Instead of add to cart, I add to my wish list. Often times I don't ever go back to get it and when I look at my wish list I wonder why I even added it.
