I want someone to study the loss of cash on people 45 and younger only because I honestly feel the complete opposite and I am 40.  To me when I spend cash I think well I didn't even spend really because that's already out of my checking account.  To me the amount I have is the amount in my checking account.  Cash is almost like play money.

So the idea of buying secondhand is great, but a lot of secondhand companies have caught onto this and will charge the same and sometimes more for an item. Then you would buy it new. So you do really have to be careful and make sure that you aren’t paying the same or more for a used item than just getting a new one

Many grocery pickup options don't charge a fee or upcharge. Never gonna stop doing pickup. I love the convenience, time saved and I don't impulse buy that way. It saves me time,  money,  energy and gives me more family time after a long day at work.

Sometimes the money saved by NOT being in the store and impulse buys are worth the auto  deliveries small charge. I have saved a ton by not going to the store and having stuff delivered instead.

In the ultimate frugal hack… we cloth diapered and I still feel great about it years later. Lots of laundry but it was thousands of dollars saved.

Another money saver is to buy whole fruits and vegetables at the grocery store and slice and dice them up yourself instead of buying the pre-cut items.

We olds who never stopped using cash do it for this exact reason…I go out with x amount of cash and that’s ALL I have to spend.  Good to hear not everyone will think I’m weird anymore. 😉

Having too many streaming services gave me hardcore decision fatigue. Now I only sign up for a streaming service when I actually want to watch something and cancel right away so it doesn't auto renew. No more scrolling for something to watch and no more feeling restricted to what I can watch.

My husband and I do a version of the envelope method but with debit cards. We have several debt cards for specific categories (groceries, clothing, eating out, etc). Then when we are paid we transfer a set amount onto each card. Then once the money is gone on the card we are done spending in that category until we are paid again. It has worked really well for us and our budget!
