I once calculated that a skateboarder was travelling at around negative 8,000,000 m/s. Several other students got the same answer, and it turned out that the teacher had botched the question.

Funny that this came out today, because earlier on in a calculus test I calculated that a person climbed a mountain at a speed of 90.1 billion metres/second, or about 300 times the speed of light

I love how you can divide up these answers into three categories:
-Technically not wrong
-Misunderstood the prompt
-Complete and utter nonsense

I had an Arabic speaking test where I was asked what my favorite foods were, and I confidently said "pineapple"... in Dutch. I'm allergic to pineapple.

If I were grading I would give extra points for “lead Macbeth to his Macdeath.”

One time in modern us history, the teacher asked (just as an icebreaker) what kind of person we would have been if we lived in the 1930’s. I panicked and blurted out “lobotomized”.

I got told to write a creative writing piece and accidentally subjected my teacher to 5k words of the neurodivergent experience. She docked me points for being unrealistic, because the main character thought they forgot something that was literally in their hand. This is something I had done on the daily in her class, and had even done 10 minutes before we got our grades back.

I blanked out in English class once and when the teacher asked to name an American tradition I just said "witch burnings" like it's a normal thing people do

This proves that my goofy ass could NEVER be a teacher because I'd be so tempted to give the obvious joke responses half credit.

I remember on an SAT getting a question about identifying a wood block from its density, and I somehow bungled the math and got something with a density comparable to the Sun’s core.
