  Fighting games have way too many knowledge checks for it not to be considered marco as well. We all been bullied by unsafe move and fake block strings until we learned and labbed.

  Honestly, I thought surnex&apos;s video was pretty ehh, like I would still say genres like &quot;turn based rpg&quot;, and &quot;platformer&quot; are generally better for telling what a game is about than &quot;micro&quot;, &quot;macro&quot;, &quot;mezo&quot;, those feel even more broad

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mKSlc4gyvbQ&amp;t=66">1:06</a> Managing Randomness is very much a skill, TCGs have to do it and if we&apos;re going to stick to Video Games, Pokemon is like THE game that Randomness is baked into the very design and making sure you&apos;re not in a spot that getting Flinched <b>will</b> lose you the game, is a skill.

  Fighting games have macro..., choosing to put someone in corner or managing resources for later is macro, there are just micro elements to it... Its just a much smaller timeframe than something like broodwar. I say this as a high level cs2 and dota 2 player. (which i did first before getting into fighting games) Ive viewed games like this for a very long time.

  I think he dilutes his point somewhat by using the &quot;cheat&quot; rather than &quot;optimize&quot;. I thought it was an interesting video and made a lot more sense when put in the context of optimization rather than outright cheating.
