  When guys from Middle Eastern and South Asian countries approach you on the streets of Pattaya almost all of them will say to you "My Friend" and you know a scam is quickly to follow. It's TOO easy to avoid the "My Friend" scammers by not engaging them in any conversation and keep walking. There are some foreigners on the streets of Pattaya who will try to sell you drugs and they will say "My Friend" also. Just keep walking.

  I would add being cautious of unsealed mixed drinks from street vendors.  I don't know how common it is, but I have heard of some people suffering methanol poisoning from unscrupulous vendors cutting drinks with it.

  I feel sometimes there is a &nbsp;annoyance with people who are not perfect in their travel maneuvers and others just want to assume your an idiot so they feel better about themselves. when they made the same mistakes. <br> &nbsp; &nbsp; the other tourists are the real threat in my experience and my only problems come from them typically. &nbsp;I didn&apos;t grow up with a caste system but many of the people traveling there did and u might get treated like your a terrible person to be avoided simply based on how you carry yourself and others defense mechanisms that other cultures use. <br> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;I love this channel. Cal talks clearly and precise . Very wry sense of humor at times- I liked the pattaya video when he mentions once your drunk you will forget all his advice. the videos are really helpful and entertaining thanks for making them

  If you rent motorcycle, you need and international &nbsp;MOTORCYCLE driving licence. &nbsp;Not just a car DL. <br>Pattaya is great retirement &quot;&quot; Homebase&quot;&quot; &nbsp;Buy a condo.. motorcycle , bicycle, &nbsp;and truck. Take Trips driving around the country. Use Patts as homebase to store and park your truck. Lots of Western amenities and supermarkets. Pattaya Bangkok Hospital is great. I started a charity up north in a small Amphur 13 years ago. &nbsp;Drive up once per month with supplies. Clean and sober 35 years-never go to bars, &nbsp;gives me something to do and it&apos;s positive; makes me feel good helping out. A lot of people golf.. I started training muay thai kickboxing 2006 and have not stopped. &nbsp;Also, gives me something to do and a place to meet great people. &nbsp;Pattaya will keep you young. I&apos;m 66

  been to pattaya 6 times now and going again in june. never been scammed and also been lucky with weather. i visit my girlfriend so maybe that is why no scammers have tried their luck cause she would find out very fast :D also food is great and no sickness from that. i hope Cambodia will keep calm cause we are going koh chang this time.
